Wanida Phromrak
Bangkok · Emergency Fund Workshop
"I came not knowing how much money I actually needed to set aside. The workshop gave me a clear, simple way to figure out my own number based on my actual life — not some theoretical formula. Now I have a savings target that feels real and achievable."

Nattaya Jaidee
Nonthaburi · Fixed Deposit Strategy Course
"The laddering concept was completely new to me — I'd always just renewed the same FD without thinking about timing. The calculation worksheets were the most useful thing I've taken home from any course. I still use them when I check rates."

Siriporn Kanchanaburi
Bangkok · Women's Empowerment Program
"Being a widow at 52, I had no idea where to begin managing money on my own. The sessions were gentle and the other women were in similar situations. No one made me feel behind. Six weeks later I have an actual plan written down. That alone is more than I had before."

Pornthip Tangcharoen
Samut Prakan · Emergency Fund Workshop
"I appreciated that the group stayed small. We had time to ask questions without feeling rushed. The scenario exercises were very eye-opening — I realized my current savings would only cover about five weeks, not the three months I thought I had."

Malinee Laosunthorn
Pathum Thani · Fixed Deposit Strategy Course
"I have been putting money into fixed deposits for years but never really understood how to compare rates or plan maturities. The two-day course changed how I think about this completely. Practical, patient instruction — I came home and immediately reorganized three accounts."

Apinya Sakulrat
Bangkok · Women's Empowerment Program
"After a career change at 47, my income situation changed significantly. This program helped me think through the financial side in a structured way, without judgment. The longevity planning session in particular gave me a new perspective on how long I need my money to last."

Ratree Phetsri
Chon Buri · Emergency Fund Workshop
"The day went quickly. Materials were well prepared, and the trainer did not rush through things. I came from outside Bangkok just for this workshop and it was a worthwhile journey. I feel more settled now knowing what to do when the unexpected happens."

Jutamas Chalermwong
Bangkok · Women's Empowerment Program
"What I liked most was that Khun Ploy's approach never makes you feel as though you've made mistakes. It focuses on where you are now and what you can do next. For someone who has avoided thinking about money for years, that tone made all the difference."

Benchawan Wirote
Nonthaburi · Fixed Deposit Strategy Course
"I had a general idea of what fixed deposits were but no idea how to use them thoughtfully. The maturity planning section was something I hadn't come across anywhere else. My husband and I both attended, which made discussing money at home much easier afterward."

Participant Journeys
A closer look at how three participants approached their situation before and after attending a Ploy Setthi program.
Emergency Fund Workshop
"I thought I had enough — until I actually checked."
Starting Point
A 49-year-old school administrator from Bangkok assumed her current savings were enough for an emergency. She had never calculated a specific target number. When her car needed major repairs, she used a credit card and felt the stress of it for months.
What She Did
She attended the Emergency Fund Workshop and used the scenario planning exercises to map her actual monthly commitments. With guidance, she identified a 90-day target based on her own income and obligations — not a generic formula.
Where She Is Now
Twelve weeks after the workshop, she had restructured her savings across two accounts and reached 40% of her target. More importantly, she said she no longer feels anxious when something breaks — she knows her plan and is working it.
"The workshop gave me a number I could actually work toward. Before, I was just hoping I had enough."
— Workshop participant, Bangkok, March 2026
Fixed Deposit Strategy Course
"My money was just sitting there. Now it's working in a pattern."
Starting Point
A 56-year-old business owner from Pathum Thani had four fixed deposits, all set to renew automatically at the same bank, same rate, with no particular strategy behind them. She had never compared rates or thought about timing maturities.
What She Did
After the two-day course, she used the provided worksheets to map out her deposit maturities and identify which accounts to redirect. She opened two additional accounts at different institutions with different terms to create a laddering effect.
Where She Is Now
She now has a rolling maturity schedule that gives her access to a portion of her savings every three months, while still keeping most funds in higher-rate longer-term deposits. She reviews the worksheets quarterly and adjusts as rates change.
"I came in comfortable but not informed. I left with a system. That is exactly what I needed."
— Course participant, Pathum Thani, February 2026
Women's Financial Empowerment Program
"I stopped treating money as something that happened to me."
Starting Point
A 44-year-old nurse from Bangkok had recently separated from her spouse and found herself managing all household finances alone for the first time. She felt overwhelmed and had no framework for thinking about the years ahead on a single income.
What She Did
Over six sessions, she worked through longevity planning, single-income budgeting, and ways to build confidence around financial decisions. The peer group format meant she had others at similar life stages to reflect with — not just instructor-led instruction.
Where She Is Now
She now has a documented plan that spans five, ten, and twenty years — each with clear, simple milestones. She describes the shift not as having more money, but as finally feeling like an active participant in her own financial life rather than a bystander.
"This program treated me like a capable adult. That respect made it possible to learn."
— Program participant, Bangkok, March 2026
